Professor Chengxiang Sun, a native of Shanxi province, grew up in a TCM doctor' family for generations. He entered Beijing University and studies in the TCM Medical Dept. in 1959. After graduated , he was assigned to work in Beijing University of TCM, Dongzhimen Affiliate Hospital and engaged in clincal teaching and research. So far as thirty years, he was promoted as professor and chief doctor in 1993, also he was promoted as a director work in osteology teaching and research office. He is the vice- chairman of Beijing Traditional Manipution Academic Association, a director of Bone Injury Research Branch of Chinese Medical Academic Association, a director of Spinal Interrelated Diseasee Research Assocciation.

After working, he had been following the famous osteology expert Zhoushan Liu, also he had absorbed a great many specialities and useful experience from domestic experts of both TCM and western osteology. After more than thirty years clinical practice, a series of own ecperiences in diagnosis and therapies had been formed. He is expert in treating cerrical spondylopathy, periartritis of shoulder, acute lumbar sprain, lumbar muscle strain, prolapse of lumbar interrertebral disc, also by TCM herbs and differentiation to syndrome can well treating traumatic synovitis of knee joint injury and bony arthritis.
